Ali's Apples is proud to serve students across the Central Illinois area of Downs, Bloomington, Heyworth, LeRoy, Clinton & surrounding areas to provide effective reading instruction to struggling readers. Ali's Apples approach is to help each child build the foundational skills needed to become confident readers.

Ali's Apples utilizes brain friendly reading curriculum that systematically teaches phonics skills that students need to become fluent readers. Ali's Apples focuses on the development of these foundational skills with the ultimate goal of helping each student achieve reading comprehension. Ali's Apples tutoring sessions are held from Ali's home in Downs to provide a safe and welcoming environment for students.

I'm Ali.
I am currently a 2nd grade teacher that has taught elementary education for nine years now. My career has spanned across many grade-levels including 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade. I received my first Masters as a Reading Specialist in 2019 and went on to receive my Specialist Degree in Education Administration in 2023. I have spent nearly a decade helping struggling readers achieve success through effective, differentiated instruction. I am passionate about developing young readers through the use of curriculum that supports the science of reading. I'm here to support you and help turn your kids into confident readers!

Summer Intensive & Summer Basic

Summer Intensive
$750
This is a highly effective and intensive reading intervention for early readers or students who are reading below grade-level. In this course students will work on a variety of skills that will build their foundation as readers. Students will build their skills in oral reading fluency and comprehension to become better readers. This course is highly recommended for students reading below grade level.

Course Includes:
- 16 Sessions
- 3-5 students at similar reading levels
- 2 classroom sessions each week: T, TH
-1 hour sessions

Summer Basic
$500
Summer break is a time for fun and relaxation, but it's important for students to keep up with their reading skills. This course is designed to help students maintain their reading abilities over the summer months. With engaging instruction and personalized support, students will be able to continue their reading progress and start the new school year with confidence.

Course Includes:
- 8 sessions
- 3-5 students at similar reading levels
- 1 classroom session each week (T)
- 1 hour sessions

*Payments can be made in 2 installments for both courses

PRIVATE TUTORING
Private tutoring for students who may benefit from one-on-one instruction. After your initial consultation, Ali will develop an individualized reading intervention plan for your child. Once you sign up and complete payment, Ali will work with you to select days/times that work for your schedule. 2 sessions per week is recommended for best results.
